NOT IN THE MOOD...

Hey ladies, I wanted to first say "Thank You" Libby for calling us out.

I am dealing with this cough that I have and I have been feeling sluggish.  I have not been to the gym since Wednesday and I'm feeling it.  I'm starting my Sunday morning with the trainer at 11:00 am and I am going to do some cardio after that. I think I need to sit in the sauna for about 15 - 20 min to see if I can sweat more of this cold out of me.   I am going to write my shopping list down for the week and go grocery shopping as well.  I have to get the eating nailed down because these workouts are pointless..MORE FRUITS AND VEGETABLES.

I will get back on track with my workouts this week.  I will have to work on doing the workouts I can at home.

I am NOT GIVING UP ON THIS!!

  1. Terry, GOOD JOB for STAYING FOCUSED and getting back in the gym. I think one thing is to LISTEN TO YOUR BODY - if you are SICK then take the time off or do what you feel like doing. I've gone to the gym and didn't have a great workout but like John always tells me - Going is better than doing NOTHING!

Also, don't try to CHANGE UP too much at once. I find if I restrict my diet and try to workout like I'm going to run a marathon I fall off the "wagon"! I learned one thing when I was 261 and went to a nutritionist and was provided with appetite suppresents she said Jeana, we are FOCUSING ON ONE THING! Lets get your eating under control. For ONE MONTH she didn't have me workout I had to write down everything I ate and show her weekly. Girl, she had food on a PLATE in her office to show me what a portion looked like because my perception of my food intake was so out of whack from eating such large portions. I was eating like I was keeping up with John and he is a big ass MAN!! The next month she had me MOVING - for 30 Min. a week then she kept adding on goals and took me off the medication but that's how the program helped me.

WE are NOT going to LET YOU GIVE UP TERRY! We are here to SUPPORT ONE ANOTHER in our Quest to BE HEALTHY! I just don't want you to try to do too much at once and to LISTEN to your body. If you are TIRED - REST! Something hurting - TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF and SLOW DOWN!!

Here is to a GREAT WEEK!!

  2. Jeana THAN YOU for those words of encouragement. You actually just brought me to tears. I know in my heart I want to go fast but reality I can't do that. Like you said it's EASY to put on but so HARD to take off.
I am going to check in to finding a good nutrionist through my healthcare plan.

I am giving you ladies a virtual "HUG" for supporting me and my efforts to loose weight and to live a healthy lifestyle.

  3. I'm a little misty right now myself cuz I feel the LOVE here... I remember when I started trying to lose weight someone told me, it didn't come on overnight and its not going to come off overnight and its the truth. And, what I've learned (the hard way) is quick fixes don't last. I agree with Jeana about one thing at a time -- otherwise, you'll end up frustrated AND hungry! Just start with the exercise and perhaps removing something bad from your diet (like fast food) and introduce something good (like fish)... I've never been to a nutritionist, but I think there's definite value there. Whenever I start a diet, I ALWAYS use fat burners because they suppress my appetite and after I get in the groove of losing the weight (usually 2 weeks), I stop until I hit a platuea. They help me control urges to eat mindlessly and give me energy, but not all of them are created equal!
