Feeling a Bit Frustrated - Libby

First, Terry I hope your knee is better?  I also I hope everyone's week is going well and you are holding tight to eating right and getting in some exercise.

As for me, its been a challenge because Fletcher's been out of school and my good knee has been bothering me since Friday so I've been trying to "nurse" it back to normal which sucks. And, for some reason, when the weather's bad, I want to eat like a hibernating bear.  I'm serious.  Right now, all I can think about is sloppy joes and tater tots.  THANK GOD, I don't have them in the house!  So, I'm trying my darnest to fight this feeling...

With my knee acting up, I haven't been working out as hard because I'm listening to my body and I don't want to make it worse. What I've been learning over and OVER, I MUST stretch after working out no matter how big or small the workout, I MUST dedicate the time to stretching.  Every single time I don't, I end up with a problem.  I didn't stretch on Friday and my knee's been bothering me sense... I'll learn...

Since my workouts haven't been that intense, I've been wearing my waistband faithfully -- makes me feel like I am widdling my mid-section down (whether I am or not) and it also keeps my weight in the forefront cuz I can feel it -- makes me think twice before eating something I shouldn't be.  Although they don't burn as many calories, I've been making sure I do exercises focusing on my core, arms, and butt and doing stuff around the house -- basicially, just trying to stay mobile.

My knee hurts, I'm off schedule cuz Fletcher's out of school, and I'm also between gyms -- feeling very unfocused!!!

Be safe over the next few days!!!  I know I'll be shoveling snow tomorrow!

  1. Hey Libby, my knee is getting better. I haven't made it to the gym this week because I want to get my knee back to health.

    I have been trying to do my arm and core workout as well around the house.

    I have been eating right this week so I am proud of that. I have also been doing GREAT on my water intake. My Diet Coke intake has decreased tremendously...1 a day if that.

    Where did you get the waistband thingy??? When I come up there in a few weeks please show it to me.

    You take care of your knee and I'm glad you are listening to your body and taking it easy.

    I have been feeling unfocused this week as well....you are not ALONE!!

  2. Oh, I forgot to say...I forget to stretch as well, but I need to do that as well.

    My stretching comes after my workout with the trainer.

  3. Libby, I cant AGREE more about the hibernating and eating. If I told you what I ate it was SHAMEFUL. I had kids over all day and I made brownies and cookies for them, grilled ham and cheese sandwiches with Campbells Chicken Noodle soup and other CRAP! Oh and then to make things WORSE - I went out last night with my SR Girls to Glory Days had 2 LARGE MILLER LIGHTS and about 4 wings to boot.Today I've been eating TWIGS after my FOOD FEST yesterday!

    Libby and Terry - LISTEN to YOUR BODIES and take GOOD CARE of yourself. Nothing worse then being in PAIN! Libby, what a GREAT IDEA to put on the waist band - that's a damn good idea!

    I'm working out tomorrow morning. I have a post-holiday party tomorrow downtown and I swear I don't even want to go to it - the corporate BS, politically correct, better attend crap. I will be tying myself down in some SERIOUS SPANX to get into something I own because I will NOT be buying anything!
