No gym today, but I
MUST get something in -- some push ups, some jumping jacks, something! The weekend is ALWAYS the most challenging time for me since I've got the bad influence of my husband... And, I definitely don't want to feel bad when Monday rolls around! I don't expect to lose over the weekend, but hang steady...

When I don't go to the gym, I go to DVDs or iPhone apps for exercise ideas and I do some "focused" work on my legs or core. I also like the Jillian Michael's "Shred It" DVD. Its a 25 min workout, I can do it with Fletcher around -- he loves telling me if I'm doing the moves right.
Keep your eyes on the prize over the weekend!!
Libby, I need to start doing that when I do not make it to the gym. I have the tools here to do the workout and I need to utilize it.
ReplyDeleteI will have to look for Jillian's DVD. I like doing the DVD excercises here at the house also. It's a good alternative then the gym. I do it at night at 8:30 after the boys are in bed. I will have to blow the dust off a few of mine that haven't been used in a MINUTE:-) Thanks Libby for Reminding me about the DVD Option!!
ReplyDeleteI was NEVER a fan of DVDs, but Jeana I don't know if you remember the Billy Banks DVDs you gave me YEARS ago, I did one and couldn't walk for a week!
ReplyDeleteShoot, Friday when I did my at home workout, I tried something different. I used the TIMER on my phone and did each exercise for 3 minutes. It kicked my ASS. I was HARD. Have you ever tried to do jump n jacks or push ups for 3 mins straight? Or crunches... It WAS hard, I had to rest (some), but pushed through and was nice and sweaty after the fact and definitely felt the burn. So, don't sleep on home workouts!
